マウントウェルズ山のハイキングは勾配はきついが約30分で登頂できる。ビクトリアのダウンタウン、フアンデフカ海峡、スーク地域の景色を眺めることができる。足元が悪いときは非常に滑りやすいので注意が必要。トレイル沿いの景色は息を呑むほど美しい！

Really great place for a hike. Blogs say this is a difficult hike, however if you are in good shape it’s pretty easy. It’s about 30 min to the top. Dog friendly.

Our greenhouse features densely planted tropical host plants, as well as a pond housing Japanese Koi, that provides essential moisture to the environment. Strolling along the path through the greenhouse you will find an Emerging Area filled with Pupa's in the Chrysalis stage.

Victoria Butterfly Gardens offers a unique opportunity for people of all ages to experience the beauty and curiosity of a tropical jungle up close. As you wander through, we want you to meet our family. With surprises at every turn, you’ll encounter poison dart frogs, tortoises, large iguanas, flamingos, tropical ducks, free flying tropical birds and more. We house a large variety of tropical fish swimming in our serene pond and stream circulated by a stunning waterfall. Thousands of tropical butterflies (up to 70 species) fly through our large facilities the size of almost 3 basketball courts. The Royal BC Museum is one of the tourist destinations in Victoria that you simply must visit. You learn so much about Canada, and the history of British Columbia in particular. There are innumerable fascinating exhibits to see. Friendly staff are all around to help you out, and taking a tour provides even deeper insight. I simply don't have anything bad to say about this fantastic and very engaging exhibit. Highly recommend!

Hermann’s Jazz Club began nearly 40 years ago, on February 25, 1981, at the Bastion Inn on Government St, when German entrepreneur Hermann Nieweler [Knee-well-er] was persuaded by his friend Barry Stubbs to book Friday Harbor’s Island City Jazz Band for a weekend performance at his hotel lounge. Hermann’s love for a good party, lively music and happy patrons led to his establishment of the Dixieland Inn at the hotel. Hermann moved the club to the current View Street location in 1986 when it was renamed “Hermann’s Jazz Club”. In 2000, our 753 View St location suffered heavy damage from a fire. A testament to his commitment, Hermann rebuilt at great personal expense. Our friend Hermann passed on June 10th, 2015. From 2015 to 2019 his family faced many issues but have remained dedicated to their father's legacy. After running a successful fundraising campaign the non-profit Jazz On View Society has taken over as of July 15th 2019. Great lighter hike in pretty much any weather condition. If you have clear skies you will be able to see the channel from the summit, which is very pretty.

Dominion Brook Park is located in North Saanich, close to the airport on East Saanich Road, across the street from the Panorama Rec. Centre. It’s not a large park – only about 11 acres – but it packs in a lot of beauty in a small space! Green, expansive lawns, huge trees, gardens, ponds, streams, whimsical carvings, and views of Haro Strait and out to the gulf islands. There are benches to sit and relax on, a picnic shelter as well as picnic tables to enjoy a family outing.
