Delicious tapas, increíble drinks and amazing service!! The savory, warm stuffed piquillo peppers with serrano ham, mushrooms and cream cheese — so good I ordered another instead of dessert. Comforting, creamy papas supremas (potato with serrano ham, soft boiled egg, tomato sauce, garlic aioli). Ask for extra bread to soak up every drop of the delectable sauces on the tender gambas al ajillo (shrimp in garlic, lemon sauce) and the albondigas de cordero (lamb meatballs in tomato sauce). Tuna conservas (worth every dime), marinated eggplant salad, and rainbow carrots — oh my. Crema Catalana cinnamon orange brulee with peaches. All these dishes also happen to be gluten free.

Absolutely gorgeous lake. On a clear, sunny day in spring or summer it's incredibly beautiful, and hard to believe it's just another lake on Vancouver Island! This is one of those lakes you really have to see on the island. I highly recommend checking it out. There's a trail that goes all the way around the lake, so you can walk around or run around (if you run it takes about 20 minutes or so to get around it). It's also a fantastic spot for swimming! This lake really is a spectacle!

Pair all of this with local craft beers on tap, VQA wines and awesome cocktails enjoyed while taking in a spectacular view of the harbor! Located down on the waterside of the Victoria Regent Hotel, you can even dock your boat right in front! We look forward to seeing you!
Keep in mind that most hikes start at the bottom which means the hard part is first, then it's all downhill. This hike is the opposite. All downhill to start, then a big, uphill climb back to the parking lot. That said, this is one of our favorite little hikes in the area. If I had a boat this is definitely a place I'd anchor for a bit of peace and tranquility. Beautiful little spot.

We’ve fused traditional pastas with international style, from linguine mixed with Moroccan spices to bucatini combined with Asian sauces – and we believe pasta is no longer about the noodles alone. Hermann’s Jazz Club began nearly 40 years ago, on February 25, 1981, at the Bastion Inn on Government St, when German entrepreneur Hermann Nieweler [Knee-well-er] was persuaded by his friend Barry Stubbs to book Friday Harbor’s Island City Jazz Band for a weekend performance at his hotel lounge. Hermann’s love for a good party, lively music and happy patrons led to his establishment of the Dixieland Inn at the hotel. Hermann moved the club to the current View Street location in 1986 when it was renamed “Hermann’s Jazz Club”. In 2000, our 753 View St location suffered heavy damage from a fire. A testament to his commitment, Hermann rebuilt at great personal expense. Our friend Hermann passed on June 10th, 2015. From 2015 to 2019 his family faced many issues but have remained dedicated to their father's legacy. After running a successful fundraising campaign the non-profit Jazz On View Society has taken over as of July 15th 2019. We will continue to operate Hermann's as a community spirited venue with the suppo

The trip varies from 3-4 hours depending on what you see and where. We got super lucky and saw some beautiful animals almost right away! Over the time we saw a couple types of Orcas, Humpback whales, Harbor seals, a Steller Sea Lion, Elephant Seals and a couple Eagles. It was seriously as good as we could have hoped for! The water was calm and the boat very comfortable. It's pretty chilly on the water so consider wearing pants and bringing a light jacket. In addition to the sea life, the views of Mt. Baker, the Olympic Mountains, a number of islands and the coast were spectacular!
Great outdoor patio. A comfortable tall table with a view of the water. The menu is pretty standard pub fare and my fish and chips was tasty. *Best* coleslaw ever! I know; coleslaw. And excellent selection of craft beer.
Ferris' Oyster Bar & Grill opened its doors on the 4th of February, 1991. Its original name was Ferris' Oyster and Burger Bar Restaurant. This name embodied the simplicity of their early menu: a focus on oysters and simple grill food. Although this proved to be popular, it was soon discovered that that was not enough. Ferris' menu has greatly expanded and consequently, a name change seemed appropriate. Today, Ferris' Grill (as the main floor is called), features a diverse array of fine foods, ranging from burgers, to pastas & fresh seafood, and of course, oysters!

Excellent trail that goes around the perimeter of this beautiful lake. The trail for the most part is easy with some roots and rocks on the well traveled path. The southern portion of the lake has a section with a moderate upwards climb that isn't very high but it is more challenging for those that may have some mobility issues. Other than that most of the trail is easy. Small little beach at the eastern portion of the park. Great place to launch a kayak or canoe.
A great lookout point where you get a great 360 degree view of Victoria and its harbour and the Gulf Islands. You can drive up to a parking lot at the top and it is a short uphill walk to the lookout. You can also hike up from the bottom parking lot.

Craigdarroch Castle is a definitively Victorian experience. It is a shining example of a “bonanza castle” — massive houses built for entrepreneurs who became wealthy during the industrial age. In this case, the industrialist was Robert Dunsmuir, a Scottish immigrant who made his fortune from Vancouver Island coal. This legendary Victorian mansion, built between 1887 and 1890 on a hill overlooking the City of Victoria, announced to the world that Robert Dunsmuir was the richest and most important man in Western Canada. He died in 1889, leaving his entire estate to his wife Joan, who lived in the Castle until her death in 1908. The immense fortune of the Dunsmuir family is reflected in the four floors of exquisite stained glass windows, intricate woodwork and fabulous Victorian-era furnishings.
